What Swedish households are moving away from

Sweden went through unbundling earlier and harder than its neighbours, so a Swedish household typically already juggles several separate services: a basic channel package, a sports subscription for SHL or Allsvenskan, and two or three on-demand apps. The monthly total tends to surprise people when they add it up.

The open municipal fibre networks also mean Swedish viewers change provider more readily than elsewhere in the Nordics — switching is genuinely easy, so services have to keep earning the subscription. That is why lock-in terms are worth reading before anything else.

For a Swedish setup specifically, check three things: that SVT and the TV4 family are carried properly rather than as an afterthought, that hockey runs at 60 frames per second, and that there is a Stockholm-side server rather than a stream hauled in from central Europe.
